A plane that floats and cannot fly

So I thought I'd take a quick moment to show off a new project I've started for fun. I've been working on this little wooden plane for a couple of days, roughing it out with some carving tools I have. I must admit it feels great to do something other than sitting at my computer for hours on end; especially something physical. Odd though, I can't help but draw similarities between this carving and the 3D modeling (and animation) I used to do many, many years ago. The bad part is, if I accidentally slip and chop off a bit much, there's no undo option. As I progress with this side project I'll post more photos of it and express my experience with it. Hopefully once this little plane is done, it'll be much sleeker, sexier, and accented with my wood burning (pyrography) tool. And in case you're wondering, the wood is nothing more than a scrap piece of 2x4, thus pine. Carves half-decently...
