New Carving - Wound

Yes I know what it resembles but it's not that! Anyway... it's a new carving project I've started called "Wound". This project will end up being a snake wrapped around the trunk of a tree and I have a feeling it'll look great, but it will also be a lot of work, especially as I won't be working with the grain in many cases. At this point you can kind of see the spiral of the serpent's body beginning to take shape. I'll have to be mindful not to carve out areas where branches will be sticking out. I must also say I had a bit of a chuckle when I saw the "face" in the wood, thanks to those two nail holes and that line carved in below it. :P

Hopefully by the end of this week I will finish the next video, which may help you to improve your snow themed photos. Stay tuned.
